Bad Boy Bachelor Cupid
by Ali Parker & Weston Parker
My review:
“Bad Boy Bachelor Cupid” is a Valentine’s Day themed love story full of heart, steam, and just the right amount of snarky moments to keep things in balance. Written by Ali Parker and Weston Parker, this entertaining story can really be enjoyed any time of year.
Storm Thornton wealthy playboy, still trying to put his own mark on the company he inherited from his cold father. The stodgy board of directors don’t approve of him, but he doesn’t really care. Laila Hunt is a famous model, but not the super-thin type. Instead, her curves are part of what’s made her so successful. In one of several decisions made to improve his company, Storm acquires Cupid’s Arrow, a lingerie company that caters to women of all sizes and shapes. Laila is their top model. When storms marketing department presents an idea to have him be a model in a Naughty Cupid campaign and fashion show, no one expects the consequences.
There are plenty of funny scenes in this story, but there’s also plenty of serious stuff, too. Storm and Laila each had and have rough family backgrounds, complicated insecurities, and plenty of outside pressures to navigate. They have extremely intense physical chemistry between them, hot enough to melt your chocolate candy hearts. There are some interesting secondary characters who have important roles in this story. Storm’s best friend Luke and Laila’s bodyguard/driver/friend Lexi are good secondary characters who each add more depth and dimension to the story. There are a couple of ‘bad’ people in this story, and one who is particularly terrible. The way the relationship progressed was fun, and I liked the ending of the story.
