educating Abigail

educating Abigail
by Ashe Barker

My review:

“educating Abigail” is a well-written story that is as emotionally impactful as it is entertaining. It’s one of those books that ends on a good note but before I was even done with the couple, because they were so wonderful together.

Abigail has a dead-end job, but she’s content with it because it allows her to keep the big secret she has carefully hidden for most of her life. I’m going to be very careful as I write this review, because I don’t want to divulge her secret, either. The author should have the honor of doing that. Abigail is managing to survive financially, but just barely. When she finds out that a wealthy businessman has left her a substantial inheritance, she’s shocked and confused. When she meets the furious man who’s now stuck with her as a business partner, Abigail is simultaneously attracted to him and afraid that he’ll discover what she’s so desperate to hide.  When they yield to their intense mutual attraction, she’s even more worried because he understands her so well in every way – what if he figures it out?

Abigail and Cain are both terrific characters, and they have both much more than they initially seem to be. There are also a couple of strong secondary characters who add a lot to the story. This is a steamy book. If that’s something that makes you uncomfortable, I’m going to say something I don’t often suggest; read it anyway, just skip over those parts. The story is too good to miss because of a high heat level. If you do like your stories steamy, and a little kinky too, this author delivers both extremely well.
