A Duke Never Forgets

A Duke Never Forgets

by Bianca Blythe

My Review

This is the third book in the series “The Duke Hunters Club.” It is a stand-alone, book, but if you read the others you will remember Sebastian and Genevieve. If you did not, you can certainly still enjoy this story.

Genevieve shot Sebastian in a previous book, because she mistakenly thought he was a highwayman. Understandably, he continues to hold a grudge against her. Genevieve and her family are renting a small cottage on his property, and he wants to evict them because he’s still mad at her. I don’t want to say too much about it all, but he hits his head and loses his memory. Desperate to prevent being thrown out of the home, Genevieve’s mother impulsively creates the blatant lie that Genevieve and Sebastian are married. With the bad feelings between them erased because of the amnesia, a sweet love story has the opportunity to develop.

The story is a bit predictable, but not in a bad way. After all, the feeling you get when you wear your favorite shirt is predictable, and that is why it’s welcome in your wardrobe. So many lies get woven together in this story, you do wonder how it can possibly be untangled so the characters can achieve their HEA. This is a well-written book, with clever dialogue and some good humor. It is a “clean” romance and a light read.
