Give me the weekend
By Weston Parker
Taydom is a wildly successful real estate broker who keeps his private life extremely private. He comes from humble farmer roots in a small town in Illinois, where soybean farmers are struggling because of industry changes. His father refuses to accept any financial help from him because he is still unwilling to forgive that Taydom chose a different life than farming.
Elsie is very intelligent and very sweet, seriously rocked by the unexpected death of her mother with whom she had a very close relationship. She has been working as a guidance counselor in a school, but decides to continue her education and pursue her doctorate degree.
She encounters Taydom at an open house that she mistakenly attends, and then fate throws them together again. Theirs is an unconventional friends to lovers to friends to lovers relationship. Rest assured, this great couple does achieve their HEA, and there is a wonderful epilogue. I thought the book was well written and rounded out with interesting secondary characters; it would be great to see both Beth and Riley have their stories told!
